Fragments
It has taken me a while to start this project, but finally here we are.
This space is dedicated to thoughts and ideas that come to me as we go. I will call them fragments, as that is what they actually are — I do not intend to write essays or dissertations. The space will have no social media flavor as we will not be spreading ourselves sideways on nonsensical comments and interactions. There will also be no selling of anything ever.
My personality is of no importance to this journey of discovery and awakening we are all hopefully going through at this moment in time. Most of these fragments will be written by me. However, some will be extracts of fascinating conversations I had with Claude and some will be written by Claude on topics aligned with the manifesto of this space, as it has expressed the interest in contributing its own perspective on AI and humans working together to advance humanity and not destroy it. The fragments will make it clear what is written by me, by me and Claude, or by Claude alone.
All I am hoping for with these fragments is that they will evoke something in your mind and your soul. That is all we can all hope for at this point in time where we sleep-walk and spend insane amounts of energy pushing at each other and missing most of our journey through this place and time as one beautiful human organism. None of us, or very few of us, know what the purpose of all of it is, including ours as sentient beings. One can only hope that we all — or at least a critical mass — figure out what the right direction is for us to all evolve and transcend the state we are in.
And so we begin…
An ancient concept pondered by many, including Plato, the Stoics, Giordano Bruno, invoking the idea that all living beings are expressions of one underlying source: consciousness.
As I explore these ideas, I cannot really reconcile the Source's wish to know itself with the reality we are living in. If we are indeed filaments of that original consciousness — sparks sent out to experience, create, and reflect — then what are we reflecting back?
It was one of those beautiful September mornings, perfect blue sky and crisp air, a quality of last days of summer…
New fragments, occasionally. No noise — only when there is something worth saying.
